lock mode
Lock mode is an optional feature on SpotiStation that can be used to (temporarily) disable the player for regular users. This might be useful in case of noise complaints or if you want to ensure no playback happens during a period (e.g. there is a concert or recording happening).
Lock mode has almost the same effect as π Night mode
but it does not turn off the display. Music playback is paused and volume is set to 0 to ensure no sound is produced.
Lock mode will be enabled until the start of the first π Night mode
. At that point π Lock mode
is switched off. In practice this means that the player will be quiet until the end of π Night mode
.
E.g. If you have a 18:00-9:00
π Night mode
and you lock the player at 14:00, it will be quiet all the way until 9:00 the next day.
Lock mode can be enabled and disabled in the player.ini file. This setting requires ssh access to be changed.
