Is this excessively specific? Probably. But it probably can't hurt.
Way back from when I forked ExampleMod instead of using the starter 🤦
Now it directly references the cache, so the objects are smaller *and* automatically reflect cache changes.

Update post-THE GREAT MERGENING, stop using deprecated Navigator methods, and reduce allocations a little bit. Fixes #11
