Importing DFF Files

Location

The DFF Import menu can be found under File > Import > DragonFF DFF (.dff).

Import Options

Option Type Description
Load TXD File Boolean The script will attempt to load from a texture
Skip Mipmaps (TXD) Boolean Do not load mipmaps from TXD file
Pack Images (TXD) Boolean Pack images as embedded data into the .blend file
File name (TXD) String File name used for importing the TXD file. Leave blank if TXD name is same as DFF name
Connect Bones Boolean Bones will be connected with one another (useful for animation and IK setup)
Image extension Enumeration The script will search for textures in this extension. If set to "NONE" the script will neither search for textures, nor add a placeholder
Read Material Split Boolean Whether to read material split for loading triangles
Use Edge Split Boolean Add Edge Split modifier to mesh objects
Import Custom Normals Boolean Use normals of the original model
Group Similar Materials Boolean Do not create new materials if equal materials exist
