targetting - targeting

The word "targetting" is incorrect because the proper spelling in English is "targeting" (with only one t).

This is due to English spelling rules, where some verbs with the "-ing" suffix do not double the consonants. For example, "target" is a one-syllable word with a short vowel sound, and in such cases, doubling the consonant is not necessary.

Here is a comparison:

"target" → "targeting" (correct)
"admit" → "admitting" (correct)
Therefore, "targetting" is a common misspelling, and the correct form in this context is "targeting".
