Greetings! This repository has been designed to assess what you've been learning over the past three weeks during Phase 1 of Dev Bootcamp.
You have 55 minutes total for this assessment. You will start by working on the problems in this repository for about 40 minutes on your own, after which point your interviewer will sit and pair with you for the last 15 minutes.
There are 5 different problems. We suggest that you read through all of the problems first before starting on any of them. If you don't know how to solve one of them, or if you get stuck, simply move on to the next one. Don't waste time spinning your wheels -- move on and just get as much done as possible.
To get started, download this file and unzip it into a folder on the machine you're working on, then open that folder in Sublime Text 2:
$ mkdir -p ~/Desktop/<your name>
$ cd ~/Desktop/<your name>
$ curl -LO http://cl.ly/3b2h3J3N1P1X # <--- TEACHERS: update this URL if the repo changes!
$ unzip phase-1-assessment.zip
$ cd phase-1-assessment
$ subl .Once you unzip the file, it will create a folder called phase-1-assessment. Beneath that folder, there will be 5 sub-folders: problem-01, problem-02, problem-03, problem-04, and problem-05.
Please keep the code you write to solve each problem within the folder for that problem. It happens to be the case that problem-03 builds on problem-02, so after you solve problem-02, you might want to copy your code from problem-02 to problem-03 to use as a starting point.
REMEMBER!! If you get stuck, move on to the next thing.
