Remediation

  • Navigate to the RDS service in the AWS Management Console
  • Select the RDS instance specified in the JSON file
  • Go to the 'Configuration' tab
  • Enable 'IAM Database Authentication'
  • Save the changes
  • Update the JSON file to include the IAM authentication settings

Rationale

Enabling IAM authentication allows for more secure and fine-grained access control to the RDS instance, reducing the reliance on database credentials.
