<p>Thank you for choosing Cart2Cart. This manual will help to set up a Connection Bridge
on your site in a few minutes. For better understanding it is recommended to look through a short video tutorial.</p>

<p>A few simple steps to install a Connection Bridge:</p>
<ol class="list">
<li>Right after you <strong>click “Download” link, save the files to your local computer</strong>. They will be downloaded as zip files and you will have to extract them from the archive.</li>
<li>Now, you have to <strong>connect your Source and Target Stores via FTP client</strong> e.g.Filezilla, FileFTP, CuteFTP, WinSCP, etc.</li>
<ul>
<li>If you don’t have FTP client installed yet you can set it up in a few simple steps. A detailed guidelines on how to do that you can find <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wtqq1Mn1ltA" target="_blank">here</a>.</li>
<li>In case you don’t have FTP access details, you can get them by simply contacting your hosting provider or developer. If they can’t help you, please contact our <a href="https://support.magneticone.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit&utm_source=BridgeHTML&utm_medium=Ticket&utm_campaign=ConnectionBridge" target="_blank">Support Team</a>.</li>
</ul>
<li><strong>Upload "bridge2cart" folder from the archive to your store root directory</strong>. Simply copy the <strong><i>“bridge2cart”</i></strong> folder extracted from the Connection Bridge files and paste it into your Source or Target Store accordingly.
Folder <b>"bridge2cart"</b> includes file <b>index.php</b> which doesn’t allow Google to index a folder <b>"bridge2cart"</b>. </li>
<ul>
<li>Note: For Wordpress (WooCommerce, Shopp, WP e-Commerce) or Joomla (AceShop, JooCart, VirtueMart, MijoShop) e-commerce plugins the "bridge2cart" folder should be uploaded to the root directory where your CMS (Wordpress/Joomla) is installed, not your e-commerce plugin directory.</li>
</ul>
<li>You can <strong>check if the Connection Bridge files have been installed correctly</strong>. To do that enter <i>http://[yourstore url]/bridge2cart/bridge.php</i> within your browser address line. If the message “BRIDGE_INSTALLED” appears, it means the <strong>bridge files are working correctly</strong>. Otherwise set the permissions as following:</li>
<ul><li>"bridge.php" - 644 or 666, depending on your server configuration;</li>
<li>"/bridge2cart" folder - 755 or 777, depending on your server configuration.</li></ul>

<li>To be able to copy images during your migration please check the writing permissions
on your Target store for image directory and ALL subfolders/files it contains (chmod 777).</li>
</ol>
<strong>NOTE!</strong>
<ul>
<li>We strongly recommend to <a href="http://www.shopping-cart-migration.com/faq/1-general-questions/12-i-use-cart2cart-for-the-first-time-what-do-i-have-to-know-about-the-migration-process#turn-off-redirects" target="_blank">turn off redirect</a> on your site for proper work of the Connection Bridge files. To check if you need to turn off redirect, follow this link <i>"http://[yourstore url]/bridge2cart/bridge.php"</i> and once it's redirecting to some other link you should disable redirects in your .htaccess file. It's a hidden file residing in your "shop" folder.</li>
<li>In order to prevent accidental blocking of Cart2Cart IPs, it is recommended to add them to your white list. Find more info how to that here.</li>
