The PRA Guide's color palette comes from the U.S. Web Design System's color system.

Colors within the USWDS include a grade value that helps you easily calculate what are accessible color combinations and if you are providing enough contrast between colors.

For example, our body copy color blue-warm-80 has a grade of 80. When placed against a white background, which has a grade of 0, we have a difference of 80, which equates to a WCAG 2.0 AAA rating.
