Cannot get Sync to work (laptop to desktop)

I have Trilium installed on my desktop where I have all my notes. I want to sync my laptop with my desktop.

I installed Trilium on my laptop. Both Trilium instances were installed with the Fedora Software Store as flatpak.

When I open Trilium on laptop and choose: "I have a server instance already, and I want to set up sync with it"
I add following info:
Trilium server address: http://127.0.0.0.1:37840
Password: my password on my desktop

I get error message: Sync setup failed: Request to get http://127.0.0.0.1:37840/api/setup/sync-seed failed, error: 400 Bad Request Database is not initialized yet.

The address that you put into your laptop machine needs to contain the IP address of your desktop machine rather than the 127.0.0.1 loopback address.

Hey @meichthys how do I find the correct server address to put in? Thanks

Running hostname - I on the server machine should show its IP address along with the loopback address.

Thanks @meichthys I got the IP address xxx.x.x.x but what do I put after the IP (after the : ?)
