Short Summary

-We’re the largest blockchain for real-world financial assets with +9B in RWA TVL. The purpose-built blockchain has broad institutional adoption with names like J.P. Morgan, Apollo, Neuburger Berman, Franklin Templeton, Jeffries, 10 of the top 20 mortgage lenders etc… More than 70 financial institutions and fintechs participate in the ecosystem. There are likely to be opportunities in the future to support token bridging from lending protocols, originators, and tokenization marketplaces who are tapping into our lead in RWAs.

Why should Wormhole add this chain?

• As we’re built on the Cosmos SDK, adding relayers is relatively simple and we are positioned to support the intersection between TradFi and DeFi.
• With projects like Project Guardian with J.P. Morgan’s Onyx Digital Asset leveraging a Provenance Blockchain private Zone and Cosmos SDK infrastructure, there will likely be future opportunities to collaborate on connecting Zones. Projects like Axelar are already connected and see the value of working with the Provenance Blockchain Foundation.

Technical requirements for running a node

None - Provenance Blockchain will emit messages to Gateway via IBC. Guardians should not have to run anything additional (except for guardians who may run IBC relayers).

Guardians won't need our network to run on their hardware, only the relayer (who needs both networks) will need to worry about running our protocol.

IBC Relaying Strategy

We will be using the same trusted IBC relayer who is handling services between Provenance Blockchain and Noble, Osmosis, and Axelar.
