sumupmerchant protocoll unknown..?

Hello all,
in our application it happens from time to time that a SumUp link cannot be opened. The device is an iPad with the latest iPadOS and of course the SumUp app. The message that sometimes appears is "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid." ... sometimes I have to restart the iPad and sometimes even reinstall the SumUp app. Apparently the iPad "forgets" that it knows the protocol "sumupmerchant://".... have you guys experienced something like this?
