Palle Dahlstedt suggested this and I like it. We could have a version of random called "weighted random" where it steps more on hex sensors that have more surface area covered. Not sure how to integrate this in the interface and choose it.

sounds cool.
also could imagine a mode where sensor values determine a CV. so a step's
CV would change according to the finger weight on that step, and would
otherwise default to the slider-set CV when fingers aren't on.
not sure what to prioritize here for first release!
