What's missing and where to focus the work?

Hi, I'm opening this discussion to collect some ideas on what is missing in sprs.

I think that the data structures required to handle the sparse matrices are in place and they are consolidated.
What about the algorithms? Should we start to write some of them or it is better to rely on some external implementation?
