Is this package still maintained?

I've been trying to read an AnnData object, which was created from Seurat object using sceasy, and it's giving the following error:

unknown encoding categorical

Searching for this in the issues led me to a discussion dating about a year back, where it's mentioned that the package isn't AnnData v0.8-compliant yet. Are there any plans on upgrading it, or is it abandoned?

Does this error occur on the main branch?

Oh, I didn't know. I just downloaded Muon using the default package manager, i.e. add Muon.
Do I need to install it differently for it to work?
