From what I see the software doesn't yet support tape libraries, is there plans for such? This software would be really convenient with a tape library.

Sorry, I don't own a tape library, so it does not support tape library currently. You could add some commands into those scripts in scripts directory, this might do the trick.
Ltfs library edition does expose all the tapes in the library in the library mount point as folders. The driver works very much like single drive ltfs, just switch the -o devname flag to changer_devname in the mount command.
So I would assume each of the tapes would show in the software as the library is mounted?
