Implement an integration test that accepts a HiveMetaStoreClient test the available APIs. HiveMetaStoreClient can use a local HiveMetaStore or connect to a thrift metastore server. Any option is fine but I suggest local HiveMetaStore as a start. The database can be an RDS instance.
