The outreachy logo favicon seems to be broken right now.

I could be wrong, but I don't think this site ever had a favicon...? I can't find one anywhere in the git history, anyway.

So there are two major steps to fixing this issue: First, create a favicon 😁 and second, work out how our gunicorn-based deployment should serve up that favicon.

Are you interested in working on either or both of those pieces? I don't think Sage or I will get to this any time soon ourselves, but I'd be happy to provide any context you need about how our deployment setup works.

Can we not use the logo used on LinkedIn?

The Outreachy logo on LinkedIn and Twitter is not well-designed for a square format. The text is not going to be readable for the very small favicon. Maybe having a favicon of just the stairs would be good. If you (or another designer) want to work with us to design a favicon, please let us know!

I am not a designer, so I won't be working on it 👍
