GitOps deployments seem to have an issue and Portainer ignores some of the configuration values

Hi there, our team is running Gogs and it does just fine. And we've been playing around with GitOps for some stack deployment into our Swarm. I have been playing around with Dokuwiki as a test container for a couple unrelated reasons. And it's stack config looks like this:

  dokuwiki:
    image: dokuwiki/dokuwiki:stable # other tags: master, <date> or <codename>

    restart: unless-stopped

      PHP_TIMEZONE: America/Los_Angeles

right, nothing fancy. But when I point Portainer at that yml file in Gogs, it will deploy it like it ignores the labels in the deploy: section. It doesn't get registered in the Traefik dashboard and hits to the endpoint just 404 out. Is there something I am missing with the configuration that I need to do for Portainer to deploy it?
