ONVIF OSD and Rotate configuration

M2025-LE, firmware is 9.80.72.

Almost OSD function seems working.
GetServiceCapability in media1 has no OSD signal.
GetOSDOptions is work but MaximumNumberOfOSDs's Date and Time and DateAndTime is omitted.
Date and Time and DateAndTime shall be 0 by https://www.onvif.org/ver10/media/wsdl/media.wsdl if not supported the type in MaximumNumberOfOSDs description.
OSDOptions.TextOption.Type includes Date, Time, DateAndTime.
I tried set DateAndTime using SetOSD and it work fine.

GetServiceCapability in media1 returns Rotation is True.
But, GetVideoSourceConfigurationOptions.Extension.Rotate is omitted.
I tried set Extension.Rotate (agree=0,180, mode=ON) and there are ignored.

I suggest you use ONVIF Test Tool v.21.12 and share the snapshot of the errors you are getting.

Look like it is more of Profile T feature (media2) . To ensure compatibility with OSD features, verify that both the camera and the video management system (VMS) you are using support ONVIF Profile T.

Rotate is my worng impliment.
Please check OSD.
Both media1 and media2 OSD like GetOSDs are working but media1 GetServiceCapability has no OSD its optional.

here is media2 GetOSDOptionResponse.
MaximumNumberOfOSDs has not Date,Time,DateAndTime but TextOption has there.
Maybe it's my lack of understanding, Device Test Tool specification 5.6.1 CREATE OSD CONFIGURATION FOR TEXT OVERLAY seems tests only 1st type(=plain) so not tested Date,Time,DateAndTime or skip because MaximumNumberOfOSDs does not include there.
4.6. Set osdTextStringType1 := OSDOptions1.TextOption.Type[0], where Type[0] is the 1st in Type list from {Plain, Date, Time, DateAndTime} values

Further explanation

• Device supports primarily 2 OSDTypes
  • Text
  • Image
• Hence the MaximumNumberOfOSDs is reflecting the total count as well as split of each type count.
  • Reference to specification
    • If a device limits the number of instances by OSDType, it shall indicate the supported number for each type via the related attribute.
• Because the OSDType of "text" is supported, relevant "TextOption" are presented that includes support for
  • Plain/Date/Time/DateAndTime

I agree there is a bit of ambiguity in the spec, but current device behavior is not violating any current spec.
