Using exisiting pg table "user"

I would love to use an already existing user table. However the table is called user instead of users and the id is of type uuid. Is there a way to configure the pg adapter to work with this table?
Following the name convention of my db, i would also love to use singulars for table names i.e. session instead of sessions
