i dont know how to start the program

this is the first time ive ever tried using a github program i cant even figure out how to open it and i really need some one to hold my hand through this

Open cmd.exe, cd to the directory the .exe is in, and run gallery-dl [URL].
You can look at any youtube-dl tutorial and do the same thing for gallery-dl.

hey i think i have almost everything figured out but im still having trouble with setting cookies this was what i typed into the command line C:\Users\username\Desktop\programs> gallery-dl --cookies "\Users\username\Desktop\programs\gallery-dl\cookies\cookies.txt" www.patreon.com and this is the error it gave me [gallery-dl][error] No suitable extractor found for 'www.patreon.com' if you have any idea of what i may have done wrong ide love to hear it

It needs a more specific URL than just www.patreon.com.
Try https://www.patreon.com/home or the creator page URL of anyone you support. (Right-click > paste to insert the contents of your clipboard)

The path to your cookies.txt file should also start with C:\, I think. You can also just write gallery-dl\cookies\cookies.txt since you are already inside C:\Users\username\Desktop\programs. (press Tab to autocomplete file/directory names)

thanks doing that and making a new cookies.txt file right after i opened up the page got the program working
