HttpRequestException when sending large payloads

Hi there,

I'm getting the following error System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. (staging-dce.edops.myob.com:443) when for POST request with large payload. Stacktrace attached below.

The proxy web API application is intended to slowly replace functionality for an existing service. This application has ASP.NET controllers that replace some of the existing service's endpoints. And those that aren't replaced are forwarded to the old service via YARP reverse proxy.

This is a socket level error, it can't connect to the second app at all. This implies the second app isn't running, or the port is blocked by the firewall, or maybe dns resolved to the wrong IP.

Thanks @Tratcher. You're right! Looks like the issue was due to my VPN to the service having been terminated.
