Quick Accent
Steps to reproduce
Esc
key✔️ Expected Behavior
The Quick Accent window should regain focus and become possible to navigate between and select accented characters, or possible to dismiss the window, respectively
It's okay if the user changes focus to a different window or types elsewhere, but it should be possible to refocus the QA window and continue navigating between characters with spacebar. It might also be nice to just click on an accented character to insert it.
If the QA window is on screen, pressing the
Esc
key should ALWAYS dismiss it without inserting any accented character. This could be useful as well if the user activates QA accidentally, as to my knowledge there's no way NOT to insert an accented character once QA has been triggered.❌ Actual Behavior
The Quick Accent window remains on the screen but is not interactable. It is difficult to get rid of it, e.g. one must go to the
Alt
+Tab
task switcher and manually close PowerToys.PowerAccent.exe (titled "MainWindow").Not sure if this is related, but sometimes after this bug occurs, the next time Quick Accent is triggered, it does not appear in its expected position, but instead appears in the bottom left corner of the screen, in a smaller-than-normal QA window that cuts off most of the characters that should be visible. (I don't know if this is a separate bug; let me know if you'd like me to make a new issue for it). P.S. I just got this bug to happen, see screenshot below!
