Users have reported receiving the error with Max 8:

sdk-build/mbc.lpc~.mxo/Contents/MacOS/mbc.lpc~: mach-o, but wrong architecture

This is b/c the objects haven't been compiled in 10 years and are 32-bit... and Max 8 is now 64-bit only.
