Over at learn.moodle.net we are using this plugin, but would like to have a custom welcome message much like the self enrolment method.

I will likely prepare a patch to do this and provide here if/when done - see https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDLSITE-3926

Add a custom welcome message

When set, it will send an email to the user enrolled. Most of this code
is copied and slightly modified from enrol_self, but without the default
message.

Fixes MDLSITE-3926 and markward#10

Ah, actually I only now realised that @danpoltawski has not made the pull request. In either case, we have had that in production for a year now.

I do remember a bug which was fixed related to this. Not sure the patch is complete.

Do you refer to 3b07f70 from your clone branch or something else yet?
