ranger colors mismatch

ive noticed the colors in my ranger nvim window dont match my native ranger window. unsure if this is something can be fixed or any recommendations you have to make this less noticable.

considering i dont have any colors set in the plugin, i assume it uses the same ones from native ranger, so im not sure what would cause this other than not having 256 color support or something like that?
