Summary

I have 10+ years experience as a software engineer. I have worked on full stack development in a majority of my roles. Server side languages include Node.js and PHP. On the frontend I have worked with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (frameworks include jQuery, Twitter Bootstrap, Angular JS and Angular Material). I am also skilled in database technologies MySQL and MongoDB. For my work in these areas, and my contributions to the community, I was recognized by Google as a Google Developer Expert in Web Technologies.

developer.zoom.us

Zoom's developer portal lacked the flexibility to make changes rapidly and the User Interface looked like it was something out of the late 90's. I implemented a wordpress site making it easy for non-developers to make changes, the previous site was all static HTML. I also updated the look and feel to bring it current, while also making the website responsive.

Zoom API Docs

I implemented the OpenAPI spec (formally known as Swagger) to document the Zoom API, giving developers the ability to use tools they are familiar with to read and interact with the API. Also open sourced the documentation, allowing the community to provide feedback and changes.

As the sole developer, I created an event management system for DataWorks Summit. It included (but not limited too): A marketing site with conference details and agenda. User Registration including integration with Stripe to accept payments and invoicing. Integration with Attendify for mobile conference app. Speaker Management. On-site check in and badge printing. So much more...

Angular Material

I have a large movie collection. Sometimes I forget if I already own a movie or not. Using Angular Material I built my own movie database app where I could keep track of the movies I own and in which formats I own them.

Magic Deck

One of my favorite things growing up was magic. I had one favorite card trick. Three rows of cards, you pick one card from any row and only tell me which row your card is in. After a few shuffles, I can guess your card every time. I decided to write an app for it, utilizing HTML5, CSS3 (animations) and JavaScript.

HTML5 Canvas

This is a fun little puzzle using HTML5 Canvas and Firebase. This is a puzzle that you can complete with a friend in real-time. Take turns moving the pieces around on an HTML5 Canvas and both sides will see the updates in real-time thanks to Firebase.
