We've had a random issue since we implemented TallyArbiter where our M5StickC's aren't working when we get to the Church on Sunday morning. They have a message on the screen, but, of course, I can't remember exactly what the message is. However, I believe it was that it lost connection to the network. If we power them off and back on, they reconnect and work just fine. My suspicion is it happens when the AP goes offline for updates or some restart of some kind. Should the M5StickC be trying to reconnect if it loses connection?
When this happens, we have to get a ladder out and go to all of our cameras and reboot them. We are able to shutoff the cameras, which cuts the power to the M5StickC device, and wait about 40 minutes for the battery to drain, and then turn them back on. However, we don't always have that much time. We are using Unifi POE Switches and I have thought about trying to figure out how to turn of POE on the switch ports the cameras are connected to, but started wondering if maybe something could be done on the config of the M5StickC to get them to try and reconnect if they lose connection. That would be the preferred way as I wouldn't need to worry about someone unplugging a camera and plugging it into a different port or possibly plugging something else into the port that needs to be on.
Thanks for any guidance you can provide on this.
Dave
