Unable to apply Groovy plugin

Hello,
I am trying to apply the Groovy plugin in Android Studio - like you suggested. However, I am getting this error:

.GradleException: You must apply the Android plugin or the Android library plugin before using the groovy-android plugin

Have you faced a similar issue?

If you are using the Groovy plugin instructions included on the docs, that's pretty outdated - sorry, this library isn't actually maintained anymore since I don't really have the time.

If you want to use it anyway, you should be using the instructions of the Groovy Android plugin instead, which is still quite active and up to date.
