Extract PDF annotations into multiple notes

I know how to extract annotations from a PDF into a child note, but I can't figure out if there's a way to extract annotations into individual child notes. For example, if I want to tag one annotation as "tag a" and the other annotation as "tag b," I can only figure out how to do it by copy pasting them around after the notation is extracted.

is there something I'm doing wrong?
