roadmap: Integrate MCP Servers into Cortex + Jan

Problem Statement

Hi team,

I wanted to suggest integrating the Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers into Jan Ai. The MCP servers provide a range of functionalities like file operations, repository management, web and local search, browser automation, and more. I believe that adding support for these could significantly enhance Jan Ai's capabilities and offer more flexibility towards Jan's use cases.

Feature Idea

Proposed Changes:

MCP Servers Integration:

Include support for various MCP servers such as Filesystem, GitHub, Google Drive, PostgreSQL, Slack, Memory, Puppeteer, Brave Search, Google Maps, and Fetch.

Add configuration options for each server within Jan Ai's settings menu.

User Interface:

Allow users to easily configure and manage MCP servers through Jan Ai's interface.

Provide in-app guidance or links to documentation on setting up and using these servers.

Benefits:

Enhanced Functionality: Users can access a wider range of features directly within Jan Ai.

Improved User Experience: Simplifies the setup and configuration process for additional services.

Increased Flexibility: Enables users to extend Jan Ai's features with community-contributed MCP servers.
