I can see from the snippet you posted that there was no solve - the initial residual was below the tolerance so nothing happens. What happens if you tighten the tolerance? |

Hello everyone,
I am trying to simulate a heat source with a temperature of about 600°C in sandstone. I want to simulate the heat propagation and the phase change from water to vapor. As a starting point I used the files natural_convection.i and water_vapor_phasechange.i. I read the issue #27159 but could not derive a solution for my case.
As of now, the heat from the heat source "heater" does not propagate and the phase change does not work properly. See the figure attached (screenshot from the postprocessor output).
I have tried tweaking various parameters including the initial conditions, time steps and mesh sizes (layers) as well as the preconditioning, but it never seems to work (no heat propagation and no correct phase change).
I would appreciate any help on this topic as I am relatively new to MOOSE and have been trying to solve this problem for a month now.
Here is the most recent version of my file:
Thanks in advance for any tips or solutions.
Best regards,
Clara
