Hi,
Random observation. Not sure if it is interesting or not.
Power Query's "M Language" shares some heritage and goals with Morel.
The language is built on top of a query optimiser that re-orders and transforms queries and can pass them to a database for execution. Query Folding.
Curiously, despite its "Swiss-Army Knife", and "all batteries included" approach, M Language lacks support for recursive, fix point queries and is unable to handle trees and graphs.
Thought this was an interesting data point.
