Is there anyway to get the runner by runnerId and retryAttempt

we have a huge monorepo and daily basis around 3000 runners are getting executed and I am planning to update the workflow status,job and steps statuses specific to a runner and it's respective retry.

1. Solution I am looking for is if I invoke repository.getWorkFlowRun(runnerId) it should return single runner where retryAttemp can be recent retry attempts but when I iterate the jobs it should contain all the jobs (for all retry Attmpts)
2. If client API also supports one more additional parameter like repository.getWorkFlowRun(runnerId, retryAttempt ) that is also fine.

using repository.queryWorkflowRuns().list() and then filter by runner id is very costly and it takes hours to execute

Is there a REST API endpoint that does what you're asking?

If you call that without any filtering it will take a very long time indeed. Perhaps if you filter by created to exclude runs that happened outside a reasonable window?

one more use case is let's say I have workflow runner and which was retried 5 times.
when I get the workflow by the runner Id , the latest workflow runner I will get is for the latest retry hence if I want to know the status of all previous retries then it is difficult.

Is there any way to get the status of a workflowRun for different retry attempts?

This library wraps the REST API. You should look at the REST API to see what is possible with this library.

What I'm suggesting you do is something like repository.queryWorkflowRuns().created(">2024-12-31").list() to limit the runs returned by date. Without at least that much, you are getting ALL the runs ever in that repository.

To improve the efficiency for large queries like this you should also increase the page size (the maximum is 100):

repository.queryWorkflowRuns().created(">2024-12-31").list().withPageSize(100)
