Unable to display Unifi Widget, API Error: HTTP Error 401

Description

I am trying to integrate Unifi Widget and i get the following error.

I am using UDM-SE as my unifi Gateway.
The OS version is 4.0.21

Code snippet I am using is.
- UniFi Gateway: - UniFi Security System: widget: type: unifi url: https://192.168.1.99 username: [email protected] password: Password site: Node 1 Site # optional
I do have 2FA authentication for Unifi Login, so i wonder if that is causing this error.
Anyone has integrated Unifi with HomePage? please guide the correct procedure.

Installation method is Proxmox helper script.

Since of course there is no way to enter a second factor, you can’t use an account with 2FA

This issue is resolved. I had to create a new local account with password, after that i was able to use the widget on my homepage.

I also am having the same issue. I tried making a new local admin account on the Dream Machine SE. I've also tried with ReadOnly accounts, and full admin accounts.

Posting on someone else's resolved thread is never the right move. Majority of the time it's not actually the same issue.

There are dozens of posts about unifi, please have a search and if you cant resolve open your own support discussion and follow ALL of the steps in the template.

In my defense, the issue wasn't resolved when I posted it. My intention was to try and understand if there was further steps involved. My apologies. I'll do that.
