The edge of the metal type that the “H” aligns with is the top edge, not the letter’s baseline.

Here is a corrected version of it but I don't think it is nicer. Unless the nick goes on the top too?

Perhaps we could use the type that is on the side found on wikipedia (the svg has been taken from there already):
