Hello there! I work at Bloxroute, and where run our own internal comparisons of our mempool services against some other providers.

Lately for testing we've been running a simple eu-north-1 AWS instance, which streams from both an Ultra Bloxroute Gateway in eu-central-1 and the fiber endpoint in the same region (52.59.2.61). The docs suggest CB is running a similar setup,, but while we average around a ~75% winrate Flashbots is reporting much slower numbers (we get ~70% winrate and MPD shows ~50 vs 45 or therabouts).

I was hoping to learn more about how you guys do comparisons and in what regions, so that we can reproduce the results you're getting.

Hi! Glad you're asking, and I think these details should eventually land in the README.

Here's the core info:

  • The mempool dumpster collector service runs on a Hetzner root server in Helsinki, Finland.
  • Bloxroute created a dedicated gateway that the collector is connected to
  • Chainbound Fiber is setup without any special configurations besides the regular auth token

Hope this is helpful. Is there anything else you'd like to know?
