As found in https://fecgov.atlassian.net/browse/FECFILE-1864, changing the output of our logs doesn’t enable new search functionality in OpenSearch. We will need to specify our own mappings in OpenSearch. This ticket will entail:

  • Figuring out if we have the capability/permission to change mappings on the cloud.gov OpenSearch instance
  • Making a custom mapping field to prove the capability
