Hello, I find that MSi.SDR is excellent for decoding Broadcast Video - DVB-T, DVB-T2, DAB Radio and others. It really shines.
I think the Msi.SDR device is just the Mirics msi2500 repackaged as useless panadapter/sdr. so I do not recommend it as a general SDR device, I would go for RTL-SDR for something that works well in normal use.
But msi.sdr has real potential for decoding many types of broadcast digital video more than RTL-SDR or Airspy Mini because of the msi3101 chip, it can handle 10mhz bandwidth without problems.
At the moment, I am only able to decode using Windows 7, but I hope I can have running on other OS. I already have mirics msi2500 driver for Linux sometimes working.
It will be cool to be able to easily decode lots of different things such as space launch 🙂
Has anybody else experience with using mirics msi2500, mirics msi3101 devices such as Sapphire XTEND graphics card, or RSP1A with DTV? I am wondering if SDRAngel DTV plugin or other SDR program with DTV plugin is available.
Or perhaps custom linux driver? Has anyone looked into mirics demodulator dlls for windows?
Thanks
