calendar: visual representation of landmark events

The literature reveals the relevance of landmark events as temporal cues for triggering memory (e.g. Glasner, Tina; van der Vaart, Wander; Dijkstra, Wil (2014): Calendar Instruments in Retrospective Web Surveys).
According to this, it would be nice to have the opportunity for landmark events, that differ visually (e.g. as pictogram) from domain time lines.
