supported ALTO versions

Hi,

We are using the textoverlay plugin for highlighting text on the digitised newspapers of the Public Library of Bruges. This works perfect with our ALTO v3. But also have some older OCR files in ALTO v2 (example) and on these pages the textoverlay doesn't work. Is ALTO v2 also supported by the textoverlay plugin?
