Pickled Jalapeños

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoon sugar (optional)
  • 1 tablepoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Dash of crushed red pepper (optional)
  • 8-10 sliced jalapeños

Directions:

  • Bring vinegar, water, sugar, salt, oregano, garlic, and red pepper to a boil in a saucepan
  • Stir in sliced jalapeños, then remove from heat
  • Cover saucepan and allow it to sit for 15-20 minutes
  • Use tongs to put the jalapeños into a jar, then pour in the rest of the mixture until the jar is full
  • Refridgerate for atleast 30 minutes (preferably overnight)
