month/year dropdowns not working when inside modal

does anyone know why the dropdowns doesn't work whenever they're inside a modal?
the calendar doesn't change whenever I pick a month or a year for the dropdowns however the previous/next month (left/right arrow buttons) work fine

here's is my config for the daterangepicker
