Love this script.

But I notice that on Verizon it appears to throttle my linux VPN connections using it.
If I use the Junos Java Applet I do not have the same problem.

  1. Is this using a different port than the Java version?
  2. Does this script enable compression?

This script is just a wrapper to log in via the juniper web page, grab the cookie that it sets and then invoke the ncui command that juniper created. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a junos app that worked better. The script it runs was pretty outdated when I created it, but it was the only way I could find to provide password and token as distinct fields (via logging into the UI and passing it the cookie).

If you don't have that requirement there are likely much better alternatives out there.
