@thotypous What to do with the check failures?

  • detwinner # check failure, disable?
  • nextpnr-git # check failure, himbaechel; disable?

Other

  • csxcad-git # reenable python module, Feb 2025
  • openems-git # reenable python module, Feb 2025

nextpnr-git # check failure, himbaechel; disable?

himbaechel is quite important. nextpnr currently has two backends supporting Gowin FPGAs (which we use a lot): gowin and himbaechel. The gowin backend is older and more stable, but it is slower to synthesize, and more importantly, does not have a good support for designs using Block RAM.

I'd prefer disabling checks than disabling the himbaechel backend.

@thotypous Added you as comaintainer of aur/nextpnr. Opened issue upstream about test failure and received hint to disable ng-ultra architecture. Should now build without test failures.
