The rest of the world - operating systems, software, and graphic design trends are changing faster than I can keep up with, so it's likely that the look and feel of FASLR will change a lot by the time a working version gets done (if ever). Whenever stuff like GNOME and Qt get updated, they tend to lead to big changes in the how FASLR looks. Despite this, I have tried to keep certain things stable such as the colors of buttons and having a dark titlebar, which I haven't been able to let go of yet as a design preference.
This is outside of FASLR, but I thought keeping my thoughts here rather than tucked away on my desktop may be useful as anyone who will try to use FASLR on their own will notice a much different look as it will adopt the theme settings of the host OS. So I have some notes here to clear up any confusion:
To achieve a dark titlebar with the blue exit button, I used the Yaru-Blue theme:
However, this is unmaintained and may break at some point, especially when I decide to move up to Ubuntu 24.x next year, so I've been exploring some other themes including a possible switch to Kubuntu which uses KDE instead. Current candidate themes are:
