On-Screen Touchbar frozen after sleep/close lid - reopen lid #47
Comments
I'm running into the same problem |
We'd like to make a fix for this, but we haven't been able to reproduce this ourselves. Is there any additional information you can provide? Does it happen every time? Do you have to wait a bit after closing the lid, or can you reopen the lid instantly? Maybe you can provide the output of running this command in the Terminal app:
Or perhaps anything else that you can think of that's specific to your situation and might explain why you're having this issue and we're not. As soon as we're able to reproduce the issue, we can look for a fix or workaround. |
Ok so here is what I'm seeing. When I have the MacBook Pro connected to an external monitor as a second screen... and i close the lid and reopen it after lets say 10 seconds of it being closed, the issue doesn't happen. Touch Bar onscreen works! When I disconnect the monitor and simple use the MacBook Pro (Late 2013) and I do the same closing of lid and reopening, then the touchbar is frozen and will not work until i quit the server and restart. The output: |
I've been using the onscreen touchbar and it works as expected. For some reason or another, if I lock the screen, close the lid/reopen, or just awaken from sleep, the on screen bar is still there as expected but it is frozen to the last operation it had. The only solution is to exit touchBarServer application and restart.
