Looks great, works well, thank you. I am seeing pull requests for simple things have not been merged.
Will this project be (semi) maintained or is it meant to be a starting point for the rest of us?

Glad to hear it works well!
The end goal is to relate the service to a mysql database and have a multi-tenancy mechanism, so you will be able to control other HAproxy nodes.
While currently working on other job related projects, I left this one on a standby for a while and will forsure get back to it in the future to complete the other phases.
