The zone temperature model or power model have influences on the MPC control performance for sure.
But it is not the case:

  1. the smaller the NRMSE is, the better the MPC control performance is

The ultimate question is:

  1. what is a good error function for training MPC?

This issue documents the a zone model with a prediction error of ~0.7C leads to terrible control performance for some specific days.

Use this branch debug87_zoneModel_mpcPerformance to investigate.
