Extracted a few albums, combine into one folder, program couldn't find anything #366

Hello, I'm not sure if I'm just being stupid or what but no matter the combination of putting things in the same folder, trying to merge all into 1 folder (option one) then at next step option 3/2/1 I always get

"Okay, running... searching for everything in input folder...
...oh :(
...
I couldn't find any D: reasons for this may be:

  • you've already ran gpth and it moved all photos to output -
delete the input folder and re-extract the zip
  • your Takeout doesn't have any "year folders" -
    visit https://github.com/TheLastGimbus/GooglePhotosTakeoutHelper
again and request new, correct Takeout
After fixing this, go ahead and try again :)
[gpth quitted :( (code 13) - press enter to close]

I have downloaded a few albums (called 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) If I leave them in folders and select each folder I get this error, If I choose a folder containing all those folders I get the above message. If I change the folder name to "takeout" with just photos within I get this message. If you could please advise I would be so grateful. thanks!!

go carefully as the visual instruction in readme says and don't modify/move anything else

then when gpth asks, select top folder containing everything

The same result still happens if I don't move anything. I am only downloading a few albums (100gb worth) instead of 500gb+ worth in my google photos. Is there any way I can make this work for only a few albums called (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) instead of downloading 500gb+ and repeating instructions to delete 400gb of excess photos. Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I'm happy to pay/donate for your time with assistance :) (I'm working off mobile data only so it'd be expensive to download all my photos) dzieki!

gpth should work with only few year-folders. If you selected only album-folders, that would be a problem

show me detailed screenshots of how you got your takeout (what did you select), and how folder structure and all files insidie it look right before giving it to gpth, and then all the cmd of how you run gpth
